Apply for a funded PhD in Criminology at Universitat Cattolica del Sacro Cuore by September 30




The Universitat Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Rome) Phd programme in Criminology, an advanced research degree in Criminology aims to promote innovative and dynamic thinking through a perfect blend of theory and practice in the fields of criminology, criminal justice and crime prevention. It also seeks to prepare graduates to meet traditional and emerging standards of excellence in criminology. This is achieved through a specially-designed training, research, and teaching programme. Ph.D. graduates are expected to pursue their career in academia, research, law enforcement, international organizations, industry, or consulting. The program is currently seeking applicants into its PHD programme.

Ph.D. candidates may spend a period of study and research abroad in a foreign university or a research institution.   


Base Scholarship of  €15,343.28 per year. This increases by 50% when the scholar studies abroad.


10% Budget for research expenses of the annual base level scholarship. 

Admitted candidates residing abroad get refunded up to €5,000 for documented travel and lodging expenses incurred during the first move to Milan in their first year.
