Summary
The Macquarie Master of Research Year 2 program offers comprehensive research-oriented training for individuals who are interested in pursuing research careers or shorter research projects. Current postgraduate coursework students at Macquarie University who will complete Session 1 in 2024 are encouraged to apply. The selection process for the program is based on the Weighted Average Mark for Macquarie graduates and the Grade Point Average for those who graduated before 2020 or received their qualifications from a university other than Macquarie. Scholarships will be awarded to the top-ranked applicants. Overseas qualifications will be evaluated using the Australian Government guidelines to determine their comparability to qualifications on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).

In addition, interested applicants for the Road to Research Scholarship 2024 must meet the following requirements:Â
Must be physically present in Australia at the time of application.
Must intend to reside in Sydney, Australia, during their candidature.
Must plan to enroll full-time in the MRes Year 2 starting July 2024.
Must meet the English language and admission criteria for direct entry into MRes Year 2.
Also, must hold a valid visa for study commencement in July 2024. International applicants may need to apply for a student visa if their current visa is inadequate.
Must have secured confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher.
