Ask Get In Education Consulting about Work Experience and Pursuing a Masters Degree

What qualifies as work experience? Many applicants underrate the value of their experiences. Work does not have to be a paid position. Work also does not have to be an official volunteering position.

If you can think of any position you have held where you had specific tasks and deliverables, this could be couched as work experience.

However, we sometimes advice some classes of applicants to get a little bit of experience before pursuing graduate studies so they develop the skills required for them to maximize their proposed graduate program.

To find out whether you should seek work experience or if you are good to apply to graduate school, register for and attend the Path to Graduate School Course.
