Cardiff University in partnership with UK Research Councils, offers funded studentship projects for students from within and outside the EU.
The UK’s seven Research Councils provide government funding for postgraduate study for UK and EU students to research organizations.
This guide details how to find and apply for different funding projects – especially studentships- which make awards to current and prospective taught and research postgraduate students.
Eligibilities:
To be considered for the Cardiff University Scholarship Studentships, you must:
be home and international students.
have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
satisfy the UKRI eligibility requirements.
submit all relevant documents (transcripts, supporting statement, etc) by the deadline.
Benefits:
The studentship funded by the ESRC covers tuition fees, an annual tax-free living stipend in line with UKRI minimum rates (currently £20,780) and includes access to a Research Training Support Grant.
If you have a disability, you may be entitled to a Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) on top of your studentship.
