Undergraduate Course and Grade: Bachelor of Laws, First Class

Undergraduate University: University of Ilorin

Nigerian Law School: Qualifying Certificate to Practise as a Barrister and Solicitor, First Class

Graduate University: RMIT University, Melbourne

I received full funding for my Ph.D program from RMIT University, Melbourne. The application for admission and funding were two separate applications. I had secured my admission in the University before applying for funding. I commenced the program in October 2018. One of the things that made my application stand out was the fact that I had a peer-reviewed publication in a highly ranked international journal. This was key to my application because it helped the University assess my research skills and output. My performance in the University and at the Law School also played important roles.

My advice to aspiring scholars is to be consistent and hard working. I would also advise you to be strategic in your work and increase your network. There will be challenges but your ability to be resilient in the face of difficulties will stand you out.
