Group of Brazilian Universities Scholarship (GCUB) 2026 | Fully Funded



Summary

The GCUB International Mobility Program – Group of Brazilian Universities Scholarship is promoted by GCUB, with the support of Instituto Guimarães Rosa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil.


The Brazilian Government Scholarship program aims to contribute to the development of high-academic level students from the five continents, as well as promoting university internationalization and strengthening international cooperation between Brazilian universities and institutions of other countries.


More than 800 master’s and doctoral degree scholarships will be awarded in this edition, by 55 Brazilian universities, whose programs will begin in 2025.


Benefits:

  • Exemption from paying enrollment fees, tuition, or academic fees.

  • A Monthly Stipend to cover the living expenses for the full duration of the program.

  • Students who will receive GCUB scholarships from OSC member states will get up to USD 1,500 per airfare, visa processing, international medical insurance, and other personal expenses.

  • Free Application Submission

  • Access to university restaurants

  • Access to libraries, laboratories, and other university services


Eligibilities

To be considered for the Group of Brazilian Universities Scholarship, you must meet the criteria below:

  • Submit the complete application in English, Portuguese, French, or Spanish.

  • The scholarship is open to the citizens of a country that maintains a diplomatic relationship with Brazil.

  • Brazilian Nationals are not eligible.

  • Be able to finance other costs such as Airfare, Visa processing, and health insurance not covered under the scholarship.

  • Must observe the language requirements of the Graduate Programs for which they apply

  • Submit the educational documents.

  • Each candidate can apply for five Master’s or Doctoral programs, in different universities
