Summary:
Christy VanRooyen of Oregon Institute of Technology is seeking a Master's student interested in pollinator ecology.
The student will be examining how pollinator diversity, abundance, and floral resource use change in response to wetland restorations.
In collaboration with partner agencies and private landowners, he will monitor pollinator diversity and floral resource use as outlined in the National Protocol Framework for the Inventory and Monitoring of Bees and the Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program.
This research will enable effective land management practices from various restoration choices faced by land management agencies in the eastern Cascade ecoregion.
Benefits:
The ISEP Postgraduate Training Fellowship in Medical Statistics will cover costs for MSc tuition fees, an annual stipend, and return air travel.
During the placement year, the Fellow gains practical experience in different aspects of research, including study design, data management, analysis, and reporting of findings.
Fellows are guided by on-site statisticians and researchers as well as other ISEP members.
Eligibilities:
To be considered for the ISEP Master's in Medical Statistics Fellowship, you must:
be a resident in and a national of a country in sub-Saharan Africa
be in possession of an excellent degree with a background in mathematics, statistics, or a related subject
have at least 1 year of work experience in medical statistics or epidemiology
be able to meet the English language requirements as set out in the English language requirements policy.
